Please join us for a fun-filled day of training, great fellowship, superb food, impressive (and maybe not so impressive) shooting, and lots of fun activities! This is a family day and we invite you to bring your children and grandchildren as well. Go ahead and bring the puppy, young dog, or your working gun dog too!

We will start the day with a training session in the morning. Try to be there around 7:30 to 8:00 am. Training scenarios will be set up to accommodate retrievers from Started/Junior up to Finished/Master. This is an opportunity for you to work your dog in a hunt test environment and make corrections when necessary. Bring your retriever(s) and you will find lots of other members willing and able to help you work your dog. Ducks will be used in all levels.

Lunch will be provided on a "pot luck " basis. Cindi Tolmsoff is coordinating the food. Please contact Cindi if you have a dish you would like to bring 979-823-2733 (home), 979-492-3047 (cell). The main meats and drinks will be provided by the Club. Y'all are also welcome to use the Club Listserv to chat on who's bringing what. The rest of the club members surely won't mind reading those emails. Yumm Yumm!

After lunch we will have a brief Club meeting, during which we will elect our 2008/2009 Officers and Board of Directors. There will likely be some other business resolved as well. Afterwards, we will present title plaques and bars to Club members who titled a dog(s) in any AKC or HRC event last fall or this spring. Email Sherry Payne and provide her your dog's registered name and which title(s) was earned so you can be included in the awards. And of course, the most important part...the gag gifts, where we acknowledge some of our most "colorful members" for something really funny or "blond" they did during the hunt test seasons. You know you have truly been accepted as a Club member when you are presented a gag gift by the BCSRC. If you have suggestions for gag gifts or remember something that someone should be teased about please email Vicki Christianson or call her at 979-865-1002.

After all that, the real fun begins! We typically have such activities as the "Pistol Pete Memorial bumper toss", Super Singles (the fastest dog to retrieve a single mark wins), and Top Gun Skeet Shoot (bring your own gun and shells). These are events you will remember for years

Bring your favorite lawn chairs to sit on and an extra change of clothes if you titled your dog(s)...JUST IN CASE! And don't forget to put your prayer in for good weather! Hope to see you there!!
